Reverie Ink - Terms of Service, Privacy Policy & Booking Policies

*Effective September 15, 2026. Note: this covers standard business terms, but tattoo-specific liability language should still get a one-time read from an Ohio attorney before you rely on it in a dispute — that's a formality worth doing once, not a sign anything here is wrong.*

1. TERMS OF SERVICE

By booking an appointment, submitting a deposit, or receiving services from Reverie Ink ("the Studio," "we," "us"), you ("the Client") agree to the following terms.

 

1.1 Services
Reverie Ink provides custom and flash tattoo services by appointment. Consultations may be required prior to booking for custom work.

 

1.2 Booking & Deposits
- A non-refundable deposit of $25 is due at the time of scheduling and is required to secure any appointment.
- The deposit is applied toward the final cost of your tattoo on the day of your appointment.
- Deposits are **non-refundable** under any circumstances, including client cancellation, no-shows, or late cancellation/reschedule.
- **Cancellations or reschedule requests must be made at least 24 hours before your appointment.** Requests made within 24 hours of the appointment, or failure to show, will result in forfeiture of your deposit, and a new deposit will be required to rebook.
- Reverie Ink reserves the right to limit the number of times an appointment may be rescheduled before requiring a new deposit.

 

1.3 Pricing & Payment
- Pricing is determined by the artist based on size, placement, detail, and time required, and is communicated prior to the appointment when possible.
- Final pricing is set by the artist and is not subject to negotiation.
- Payment for the remaining balance is due in full at the end of each session, processed through Square. Accepted payment methods: cash and all major credit/debit cards.
- Gratuity is appreciated but never required.

 

1.4 Age & Identification
- Clients 18 years or older must present valid government-issued photo ID at every appointment. No exceptions.
- **Minors (ages 15–17):** May be tattooed only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code § 3730.06. The parent or guardian must appear in person at the studio for the entire duration of the procedure, present valid government-issued photo ID, provide contact information, and sign a document provided by Reverie Ink explaining the procedure and proper aftercare. No tattoo will be performed on the nipple or genital area of anyone under 18, regardless of consent.

 

1.5 Health & Eligibility
Clients are responsible for disclosing, prior to their appointment, any condition that may affect their eligibility or the healing process, including but not limited to: pregnancy or breastfeeding, blood-clotting disorders, skin conditions in the area to be tattooed, allergies, or use of blood-thinning medication. Reverie Ink reserves the right to refuse or postpone service if the artist determines, in their sole judgment, that it is not safe to proceed. Clients should not arrive under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs; if so, the appointment will be canceled and the deposit forfeited.

 

1.6 Design & Ownership
- Custom designs are created specifically for the client's tattoo and remain the intellectual property of Reverie Ink. Designs may not be reproduced, tattooed by another artist, or used commercially without written permission.
- Custom designs are finalized by the artist based on the consultation and reference material provided. Reverie Ink does not offer design revisions; the design is presented and tattooed on the day of the appointment.
- Flash designs may be tattooed on multiple clients unless purchased for exclusive use at an additional fee, at the artist's discretion.

 

1.7 Touch-Ups (Permanent Makeup Only)
- Touch-ups apply to permanent makeup (PMU) services only; standard tattoos do not include a touch-up window.
- One complimentary PMU touch-up is included within 14 days of your original appointment.
- If the touch-up appointment is canceled or rescheduled, it is no longer complimentary.
- Touch-ups booked outside the 14-day window, or after a canceled/rescheduled complimentary touch-up, are $175.

 

1.8 Aftercare & Assumption of Risk
Tattooing carries inherent risks, including but not limited to infection, allergic reaction, scarring, and variation in ink retention or healing based on individual skin and aftercare. By booking, the client acknowledges these risks and agrees to follow the aftercare instructions provided. Reverie Ink is not liable for outcomes resulting from a client's failure to follow aftercare instructions, pre-existing health conditions not disclosed prior to the appointment, or normal variation in healing. This is a release of liability except in cases of gross negligence.

 

1.9 Photography & Content
Reverie Ink may photograph completed and healed work for use in portfolio, marketing, and social media. Clients who prefer their tattoo not be shared publicly must notify the artist in writing prior to their appointment.

 

1.10 Event & Guest Bookings
Private event bookings require a minimum of 10 participating clients. Specific pricing, deposit requirements, and terms vary by event type and location, and will be confirmed in writing before the booking is finalized.

 

1.11 Right to Refuse Service
Reverie Ink reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service to any client for reasons including but not limited to disrespectful conduct, intoxication, health/safety concerns, or requests that fall outside the artist's ethical or artistic guidelines (e.g., certain hate symbols, cover-ups deemed unfeasible).

 

1.12 Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.

 

1.13 Changes to Terms
Reverie Ink may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued booking of services constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
